Through dance, music, and art we empower individuals to take authentic action toward making the world a better place.

Tapestry’s vision, presentations and preservation of contemporary rhythm and percussive dance, educates audiences from around the country on tap dancing’s unique heritage and value.

Through educational programs Tapestry Dance works to serve our community by:

* Broadening the understanding of contemporary and traditional choreography with an emphasis on rhythm and percussive dance.
* Preserving classic American tap dance works.
* Raising the awareness of local performance artists and their work.
* Collaborating with artists both locally and internationally.
* Contributing to the audience and tourist development for the performing arts in Texas.
